COVID-19

There's a wordwide outbreak of COVID-19. Take a look at the preventive measures related to COVID-19.

This country has travel restrictions:

  • The Belgian authorities strongly advise against travelling to this country, or Belgian tourists are not allowed in.

  • If you have been abroad for more than 48 hours, you must fill in this identification and evaluation form on arrival in Belgium. This is not necessary if you will be staying in Belgium for less than 48 hours.

  • After completing the identification form, you will be informed whether a COVID-19 test and post-return quarantine are compulsory.

Malaria

In Stan Creek there is no to low malaria risk (especially due to P. vivax). We recommend the use of mosquito-repellent measures from dusk till morning.

There is no risk of malaria in the rest of the country.

In case of fever during or after your journey, get tested for malaria as soon as possible.

Other insect-borne diseases

Insects can transmit diseases such as denguechikungunya, zika, leishmaniasis and Chagas disease.

Dogs and other mammals can be infected with rabies.

Mandatory for some travelers

For travellers from certain countries in Asia or Africa where polio occurs, polio vaccination is compulsory.

Yellow fever

Mandatory for some travelers

Yellow fever does not occur here, but the vaccination is compulsory from the age of one year:

  • If you are departing from another country where yellow fever can occur. 
  • If you have spent more than twelve hours in transit in an airport in a country where yellow fever occurs.

This vaccination must be administered at least ten days prior to arrival by an official yellow fever vaccination centre and must be registered in an International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis.
