      Important health risks

      Tick-borne diseases

      Ticks can transmit diseases such as Lyme disease.

      Tick-borne encephalitis is mainly present on the border with Russia and Ulaanbaatar.

      Rabies

      Dogs and other mammals can be infected with rabies.

      Altitude sickness

      You may experience altitude sickness in areas above 2500 metres.
